HOW TO....EYES

OK so here are some basic tips for applying eyeshadow and making it stay! You want to give your eyes definition, it's not about the colour of eyeshadow, eye make up should enhance your natural eye colour and the shape of your eye.

Firstly..
You want to make sure you use a good concealer to hide and dark circles, make sure you conceal from the inner corner of the eye top and bottom try and avoid the outer edge unless you have a lot of redness.

Then apply a cream base shadow over the lid to the crease, apply with finger.

STILA Eyeshadow Pot - Ice

Immediately apply the powder eyeshadow over the cream before the cream begins to crease, the shadow should be applied by a patting motion and gentle sweep work up and down opposed to side to side, this allows the shadow to lock in the cream setting it so it lasts all day. Sweeping it from side to side will not give you and even pungent colour.

Use any colour that complements your eyes.

Colours that work well for:
For Green Eyes - Orange, peachy tones, Purple, warm browns, Smokey, Dark greys.
For Blue Eyes -  Soft Grey, Purple, Taupe, Peach or warm browns, Soft pinks.
For Brown - Usually most colours go, you will need to match the colours with your skin tone.

Complete this look by using a good Mascara steer away from waterproof unless you know you will be crying!

Mascara is a very tricky thing to master there are some really good mascaras and really bad ones! But you need to try a few out and see which one best suites you, decide what you need whether it be lengthening or thickening and then choose the brush that will define this.

Adding eyeliner to your final look, if you want to open the eye you can use a white or cream liner on the inside rim of the eye, this will hide the look of any redness in the eye and give your eye a brighter look.

If you are going for a defined look, you can choose to line the inner rim with a darker pencil or softly smudge the pencil on the upper and lower lid like a "C" shape on the outer edge. You may go to the inner edge if you have larger eyes as this will make your eyes appear slightly smaller.

Have fun playing!
